USAID has recognized the importance of having the community of PLHIV lead- no program for us without us.

Whilst challenges remain; USAID has supported KP programming globally- led by KPs as much as possible; and is working to ensure there is a sustainability and transition plan.

One main barrier is the enabling policy environment that can potentially negate the wonderful gains made- punitive laws which make KP practices illegal and unsafe for them in their own communities and homes.

Can we have a way to have webinars in some key topics e.g social enterprises, social contracting , evolution of indicators, DREAMS and KP cross programming etc. it just feels like we need a continuous platform for engagement of our programme.

Cross countries experience sharing between participating countries could be a good follow on activity. This could probably be supported by Epic for mission’s and IPs’ teams.

Small programs like PNG had lots of learnings this workshop. With small budget where we have focused on improving government information systems to capture KP data and innovations where KP service is embedded into government and NGO/FBO clinics, a lot of information including technical information like PrEP CAB-LA . Cross learning from other countries was extremely helpful, particularly on social enterprise which is important for sustainability.

No one is failing. We are different due to responding to peculiar situations and all have room to teach and learn and improve with each other- feel free to come to learn and share with Zimbabwe

key take away for me is on improving program services for children of KP, there appear to be a lot of resources including resources for size estimates for cKP.

A TDY from HQ that focuses on children of KPs will be appreciated in Nigeria. My country need to focus on issues around data management for cKPs as well as getting estimates right. Standard indicator for cKPs will be appreciated.

Triangulating data for accurate estimation for KP is key, Rapid survey seen in Nepal should be supported for countries that have issues with KP size estimation. Learning from what a country did with their RCS will be useful for Nigeria
Presentation on CAB-LA was very useful, it was great learning from a country experience which will help us with out implementation already at advance stage
Self testing for PrEP is an area I look forward to exploring further when we get back home.

This is a well structured and very informative training. I love the site visits and interactive sessions. Facilitators and presenters were great and full of experiences.

Also a great opportunity for professional connections.

Maintain a parking lot for questions that couldn’t be addressed using post-it notes (maybe) and then post them to Padlet or some other online whiteboard for those who wish to address/provide feedback (including HQ) might be able to follow up.
