The Berlin Wall separated so many families and friends that people tried to cross the wall which resulted them getting  shot. The Berlin Wall was destroyed in 1989 but throughout that time President J.F. Kennedy and President Ronald Reagan visited Berlin. The bus was still stopped when the boy heard some inaudible speaking until they hear that the police is going to be called. The boy finally was able to see what was happening when he saw Mrs. Parks. ( Rosa Parks) In 1955 African Americans were to be seated in the back of the bus so when Mrs. Parks was sitting in the front it caused a ruckus. This movie focused more on young children and what they did during this time to end segregation. When the children had started to gather to protest their teacher, Mrs. Goree, turned her back so that if she were to be questioned she could say she didn't see them leave. She did this because she agreed with the children, she wanted segregation and discrimination to end. During the Civil Rights Movement people said to "meet violence with non-violence" and I think that means that there is a way to end segregation and discrimination which in cases were violence, peacefully. Vietnam was divided and the United States helped out South Vietnam to resist. When the attack first started many Americans turned against the war efforts. The U.S troops couldn't identify their enemy and many soldiers didn't care to fight. In America people were divided into Hawks, who supported the war and Doves, who saw it as a civil war and we had nothing to do with it. Doves also didn't like the drafting especially at a young age. You either went to college or were drafted into the war. There were so many protest going on.
