Typically the audience is interested in experiencing culture, travel and music as often this type of food service goes hand in hand with festivals and public events. The majority of the audience can be associated with people in their 20s who are more likely to go out and eat while out. These tech savy people can be great at seeking out the food and spreading the message through word of mouth and via social media.

Happy customers have helped generated corporate catering events, and private events particulary over the spring, summer. Further expanding customer awareness. The promo video aims to increase the supporter base and potential for further coporate and private events.

Vegatarian options may be included in promotion video to avoid excluding this group. After the audience has watched the video I want them to feel hungry,  and care a little or want to know more about the business and the friendly people who run it. Im trying to portray a genuine home business.
The emotion i want them to feel is happiness, friendly and cheerful. Feel connected to the people behind the process.
This is conveyed throught the subtle orange in the logo, fire and use of warm colour palette on the webpage. Part of the setting for the owner interviews the colour theme is neutral with many indoor plants to help show growth, peacefullness and health. Maybe highlight the sustainable nature of the business outputs.

The target audience is also updated to reflect a focus around 20-30s tech savvy people who will primarily be the ones who follow and share social media content.
After discussion with the owners, a scheduled event had to be cancelled due to their work and family commitments. This was to be the source of some filmed shots and part of the 'seeking social adventure'  i was trying to capture. The mind mapping also helped me realise I also needed to simplify the story and focus on the essence of the business, which is the quality home cooked food. I was trying to put to much into 30 seconds ad, the time is more appropriate to show the people behind the scenes and bring the viewer into the home and location of the Food truck prep and cooking process. There are many late nights and early morings thart go into the food leading up to an event and this all happens at home. This also simplyfies the filming process, locations and shot numbers.

The message is now.
'A sneek peek into the world of barbecue'
Follow Smokin' Bones Barbeque on Facebook and Instagram.
The message will not be displayed on the video but portrayed throughtout the visuals of the promo. The call to action remians for the audience to follow the business on social media.

This format may lead to making further 30 ads for social media using some other theme ideas.
History of the hand build truck and smoker.
Detail a smoking event. Meat to plate.
Festival Fun.
Pulled Jackfruit, and houllumi burgers, vegetarians dont miss out.

The promo will be different to other food advertisements. There are limited references in terms of promo videos for food trucks, due to thier limited effectiveness and small target audience traditionally. Similar restaurant videos I want to steer clear of the tradition setup establishing shot of restaurant etc.
The video will bring the viewer into the home of the owners and see what goes into creating the delicious food they serve. We managed to arrange a small 2 hour window at the owners house to do a little sit down interview style video and also capture the food truck and some of the processes that go into the food. This meant the planning was partly out the window and i would have to pull something together to make it work. Unfortunately with no actual cooking or food! Through the magic of film I was going to try and make it happen and luckily for me the brother in law was cooking a brisket that day!. An extremely tight schedule to film SBB and them travel to film the brisket.
The natural lighting in their dining room was usually nice in the afternoon so i set up there and utilised a large decorative light for a fill on the right of frame with natural light coming from the left and a small LED headlamp on the table behind the pot. The room was small so it was hard to create depth.
Wade and clare were both nervous so i talked through what we were trying to achieve and had some laughs.
Next were the outside shots, i grabbed as much footage as i could to try and portray the process and hide the fact it wasn't a full cook up.
Thats a wrap! and it was time to leave to shoot some real meat. At that moment the sun was beginning to set and they sky was orange, perfect for the outside shots. I thought about a re-shoot but had to move on.

Next was the cooked brisket, I managed to get some good footage of the slicing but the meat was so overcooked and dry, i just could bring down the brand and include it!

This left my fast cut burger construction idea, with no footage. I searched and searched but was unable to find some suitable free footage online. After reviewing and assembling some of the footage I realised I had plenty of footage and I would begin with their introduction and then show the logo on flaming coals and then get to the food. 
I fired up my smoker a few days later to get the hot coals shot used of the logo. Dialog audio - wasnt the best recording but managed to tweak it in Premiere pro to something ok. Next time i think i will try and use another device closer to the people speaking.

I had a lot of footage for the 30 seconds, so heaps was cut to keep it to 30, I some of my photos taken of thier food and stuck them into a quick after effects comp with a little animation.

If i had to re-do i would try to make the visuals cleaner, so the message and what the viewer should be looking at is clear. I seems a little busy with the quick cuts at times.

I think its difficult to read the facebook and instagram search strings so i tried to have them onscreen for as long as possible.

My selected CSS h1 and h2 fonts i dont believe are common or availible on Mac, so ive embeded something similar from google fonts as secondary font-family, and embeded the paragraph font to something similar to my original typography design which continues the themes started in other Smokin' Bones Barbecue media.
Tested with HTML and CSS validator. I cleaned up the errors on HTML /CSS on both embeded Padlet and Youtube ('Frameborder=0' obsolete) and added iframe, with border=0 to CSS. Some other errors come up in chrome dev console around cookie SameSite sttributes. I wasn't sure about that and couldn't find an answer easily. 
Also tested colour contrast and adjusted some of the link and h1 colours to make it legible to more people.
