Monoculars are widely used these days for stargazing, observing wildlife, observing vast landscapes and hunting. As an adventurer, I had to test this Gosky monocular, but before I did, I wanted to read some of the remarks left by Gosky users.

Review Highlights

According to Mike Carter, a Gosky monocular verified user, the processing quality of this telescopic sight is excellent. The focus knob is incredibly smooth and retains focus precisely until you move it.

Mike stated, “The rubberized monocular lies reasonably securely in the hand.

Holding down for quick recognition works well, but with the zoom level, your image gets a little shaky. I mounted it on a tripod and had a great time with my kids watching the different birds that grace our garden. We also used a tripod/monocular to observe the moon and other bright Messier objects (too much fun!).”

There is some chromatic aberration and vignetting in the eyepiece of this monocular; however, this is to be anticipated with a scope of this size and magnification, and it does not interfere with the viewing experience in any way.

“The smartphone holder feels a little cheap in my opinion and I doubt I'll use it after my first try. All in all, this is a decent quality scope that I think is great for terrestrial observations and good for starting out in astronomy”, he added!

Another user Robert Moloney gave Gosky a five-star rating saying that “I gave it 5 stars because of the optics, ease of focusing and overall quality of the Gosky monocular.” He added, “If you want to expand your photo experience on your phone, Gosky is a good choice.”

Talking about the improvements needed in this monocular, Gerald R. said, “A more stable tripod is needed for zoom shots though”, “picture quality with my iPhone is better than expected. The monocular is well made and has good optics.”, he added!

According to John, this monocular is a little bigger than expected, and it won't fit in the front pocket. However, the device provides a clear picture. “I find I need to hold with both hands to hold it steady”, John stated.

My Opinion

According to all of the reviews and what I've gathered from reading other customers' experiences on Amazon, I believe the primary selling point of the Gosky product is the enormous 55mm lens, which is capable of capturing a great deal more light. Because it provides a sufficient amount of lighting even in low light circumstances, it is an ideal choice for catching birds at all hours of the day and night. In addition, the larger lens will assist you in seeing smaller and finer features that monocular with lesser apertures would normally be unable to pick up on.

Gosky provides an astounding 12x magnification with this. It truly is a tremendous amplification that is difficult to match.

In fact, the monocle can be used to see the moon and star constellations. It zooms in and out of photographs when used for birdwatching. Fortunately, Gosky excels at this compromise.

The tripod mount aids in picture stabilization, although it needs to be improved in terms of quality.
