Songs are basically poems because they share a story or every lyric/verse has a meaning. This song matters to me because it lets me understand how people around me feel. Every verse of this song has pain involved and for me it feels like it's a call for help from someone.

She lives with all her family, brothers, sisters, aunts and her father. Her mother dies when she was born and his brother blames her for it. Nai Nai (family member) died and the little girls father disappeared out of nowhere. A little time afterwards her stepmother also left with her little siblings. 
When Nai Nai died his father came back for the whole family and took them to Shanghai because the Japanese people were looking for his father. They started a new life there, new schools and new people.

- Asia: Human Geography was about Asia’s history and historical issues. It mentioned a lot of different topics of their religions and how they spread to issues from invasion, economic issues and nature issues. It stated that at the same time as Asia is growing economically, the environment is dying.

2. Countries of the World: Japan
- What the article Countries of the World: Japan was mainly focusing on is talking about the main points of Japan; people and culture, government and economy, and history. It mentioned how each one of them has an impact in Japan, for example people and culture is a big part of the system, the people is what makes Japan, Japan. When it comes to government and economy is what keeps Japan in control, it’s a system. Finally, history, history is one of the main topic that hold East Asia together and is the definition of East Asia.

3. How Geography "Mapped" East Asia, Part One: China
- This article is basically talking about the geography of East Asia. Developing this idea, it explained the different used of the Yellow River, an important river in China.

- What this vlog was mainly about it was about a girl who blogged around Tokyo. She visited different places around Tokyo and describes things she was doing. She also included the names of the popular places in Tokyo. This vlog helps in the way that it gives us an idea of a ‘teenager’ daily life in the streets of Tokyo.

Some of the topics that are talked in this article could be about its environment, geography, and cultural zones. - The Swiss Alps are high, snow-covered mountains most of which are over 13,000 feet. Switzerland is one of the world's wealthiest countries. The Swiss are well known for their watches and clocks. There is not a single official language in Switzerland. Switzerland was formed in 1291 as a union of three states and became an independent country in 1815. The country has remained neutral in conflicts around the world, including both world wars.

- “Thailand is in the heart of Southeast Asia”. About 90 percent of the people practice Buddhism, but about 3 million Muslims live in the south near the border with Malaysia.Food in Thailand is influenced by Chinese and Indian cultures. Thailand is the only Southeast Asian country never to have been taken over by a European power.

10. Australia and Oceania: Human geography
- “Oceania is a region made up of thousands of islands”. The native people of Australia are called Aborigines. Aboriginal Australian cultures had strong relationships with their environment. They developed stories to explain the land. Oceania will be greatly affected by climate change. That is due to its climate and geography.

This story matters to me because I tried my best for it to be like a classic romantic novel because personally they are my favorites. - The cultural aspects we as a group presented in our transformation project would have to be the traditional clothing and music. We tried to make the setting seem as it took place at Akita, in the province of Inaba. Personally, our video was well recording and it was understandable that it was enjoying to watch. Some of our strengths in this project would have to be how we worked as a team and everyone was sharing their ideas. We made the 'costumes' of the characters accurate and the music at a reasonable volume. - This myth took place at Akita, in the province of Inaba. This myth is about a father and his two daughters whom he was ministered to with all filial piety.  The father was sinning (according to the teaching of holy Buddha) by killings storks just for fun. The daughters wanted to teach him a lesson because after they once told him to stop, he didn't listen. The daughters sacrificed themselves, they dressed all in white and made the father mistake them for storks and he killed his only two daughters. The father was filled with sorrow and remorse. He became the most pious follower of Buddha.

- For this interview the knowledge that I gained from East Asia by interviewing Kirstin. Before she graduated she had the opportunity to travel to Asia because of a school club called Travel Club. We first started by talking about common dishes she ate on her trip. She talked about a dish called ‘Peking Duck’. Apart from food, I asked her about favorite historical places she visited. Larson had the opportunity to visit the ‘Terracotta Warriors’. Additional information Kirstin told me that surprised her because it’s something she doesn’t see often is that there were massive amounts of traffic on roads. Something that caught her attention about their culture is their eating etiquette. How you eat, how quickly you should eat, how to ask for things. Also when you’re drinking tea, the more you slurp the tea it’s kind of like a sign of respect almost. In just three years she was able to study (she hasn't finished studying), has a husband and two sons. This surprised me because we usually see on the news how refugees escape from war and don't always have a "successful" life.

Book Website

It was an interesting experience creating this website for the book SOLD.  Patricia, the author, involved multiple interesting scenes for me to use while creating this website. I enjoyed this book for multiple reasons. It not only talked about young girls who are sold into prostitution, but also how Patricia made sure to tell their stories, the stories of the girls. 
Personally, I think  my website does include what it needs to give us a simple explication about what the book is mainly about.

For this project I had the opportunity to learn about Japan. Japan has many interesting attributes; culture, historical, geographical and economic wise. We worked with a small group and my duties were making a science fair board that included about the people, location, geography, climate and population. 

After the presentation there were several things that I saw that I wish I did differently. For example, I felt I wasn't to engaging with the people. Before the project I was really nervous about presenting, not because I was in front of a lot of people, but because I was scared of pronouncing something wrong. During the presentation I felt like I did well, I should have raised my voice more but overall I felt like I made it clear what I wanted to say and that made me feel proud of myself.

In Boxers, Yang deftly relates the Boxers' perspective through the stories of Bao, an illiterate peasant boy who, like the Chinese gods of the opera and China past, fights for Chinese culture and honor. This book matters to me in the way that I get to learn something new about one point of China's historical period. When I first started writing this essay it was kinda difficult for to me to start writing because I wasn't understanding the question entirely. As I started developing ideas for my writing, I felt like getting the ideas was one of my strengths but it got to the point of starting to write my essay, that's when I couldn't find the right words I was looking for to try and say what I meant.
