         <description><![CDATA[<p>Computers are an important part of modern education, however large amounts of the&nbsp;<span style="font-size: 13px;">population – especially minority and low-income children don't have access to a computer at home. they tested this hypothesis using data from a field experiment with 1,123 schoolchildren where  they randomly provided free computers for home use. Although the program significantly increased computer </span><span style="font-size: 13px;">ownership and use, they found no effects on any educational outcomes, including grades, </span><span style="font-size: 13px;"> test scores, credits earned, attendance and discipline. </span></p>]]></description>
