I think that with Caitlin Clarks announcement to enter the NBA draft and become an Indiana Fever, that she will bring a great amount of talent and money to the program. I don't really follow any basketball teams but I know who Clark is and I know how many people across the country love to watch her play. Indiana Fever is doing the right thing increasing ticket sales because they know people are going to pay to watch her play. If they start to have a better record than years past, you will start to see ticket sales increase event more.

I am not surprised that the Fever did this, drafting her would be amazing for the team. Clark is probably the most popular female athlete and most likely the most popular college basketball player. When Clark announced that she was going into the WNBA draft the Fever posted about it saying "#1," so people already knew that she would most likely be drafted by them. Taking advantage of her popularity and increasing prices is a smart move. Take advantage of what you can.

I think the Fever & WNBA have to take advantage of such a big opportunity through Clark. Raising ticket prices and letting people know that the #1 pick is coming into town to generate more revenue is an obvious move. Even in the NBA a lot of spectators are willing to pay more money to see certain players, not teams. She just broke the all-time scoring record for both men's and women's NCAA Division I basketball such an accomplishment is super rare therefore a lot of people are willing to pay a lot of money so they can say they witnessed her greatness with their own eyes. At the same time, it is important to have a good balance by using Clark as exposure. Basketball is a team game where chemistry amongst the players, coaches, and staff is very important to win.

I think it is a no brainer for the Fever to raise ticket prices for someone like Caitlin Clark. She is literally one of the most spooked about names in all of women's basketball ever. That means people are going to buy tickets to see her no matter the price, and it is only smart for the Fever to go about tickets sales in that way. I wouldn't be surprised if they sell out tickets within hours of them posting the schedule and posting the links to the tickets. It is even more exciting for natives such as my self knowing that there is going to be a lot of noise around the Fever. Everything the WNBA and the Fever are doing is great I would even dare to say they could ramp up the posts more and make it seem like she is already apart of the WNBA and the Fever can continue to let her know how excited they are to have her join our squad.
