         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Definition:<br>The effects of setting, weather, resources and culture related to the olympics. <br><br></strong>The location of the games depends on the potential environment it will be hosted in. Countries with sufficient space are suitable to hold the games as the infrastructure needed can be built. New Zealand would not be able to host the Olympics ,as geographically,  it is not big enough.</div>]]></description>

The introduction of women participating in the games, paved the way for female athletes to compete on a global level.<br><br>The introduction of particular sport into the games has raised its global profile, and over time caused an increase in normality and participation. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Definition:<br>The economic status of countries which affect access to the olympics and who can host the olympics. </strong><br><br>Following the 2016 games in Rio, the government was put into major financial debt. The 2016 Olympics cost $13.1 billion, and left the Rio government $160 million in debt. Since the country has come into significant debt they won't be able to host events like this again, effecting how much of the population may become involved in sport.<br><br>economical growth, inforstucture development. This means good growth for the country and and improvement of the the promotion of the country.   </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Definition:<br>The morals and rights of everybody related to the olympics.</strong><br><br>In 1936 in the Berlin Olympics Hitler denied shaking Jesse Owens hand because he was black<br><br>Fair play award that gets awarded to athletes who display the spirit of sportsmanship. The award encourages friendship, selflessness, sportsmanship within athletes<br><br>Drug free competition is promoted at these events, and the idea of natural performance is spread through the athletes themselves. Drug testing of athletes also promote good ethics and not 'cheating' and taking away from athletes who aren't using.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Definition:<br>The impacts of social trends and other decisions of society that relate to the olympics. <br><br></strong>The olympics brings communities together and creates a connection between people. By sharing an interest in sport people are brought together in ways they may not have been otherwise. <br><br>The Olympics also has heavy media coverage and is televised world-wide. Many countries have dedicated social media pages to covering the performances of their different sport teams. <br><br>The event also has lots of sponsors which promote the event and help create a larger audience of viewers. This grows the status of the event on a global scale. </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><strong>Definition:<br>The impact of decisions be political leaders which effect the countries and athletes at the olympics. </strong><br><br>Certain countries have been banned from previous games and not allowed to compete due to reasons such as organised doping of athletes. <br><br>Political events that occur outside the olympic arena, effect the participation of certain countries. An example of this is the 1976 Olympics which was boycotted by 22 african nations due to racial issues happening in the world at the time.</div>]]></description>
