There are two ways to register yacht under Dutch Flag.

Light Registration if in case the owner wants a faster registration process to sail within EU waters.

Global registration if the owner intends for global navigation of the yacht.

Light registration would be available for companies and individuals with an address in ay European Union country. However for convenience of aspirants from outside the EU, yacht registration holland offers their own address for registering yacht under Dutch Flag at no extra cost.

The process of Boat Registration is quite simple and straight forward. This process doesn’t involve any unnecessary bureaucracy and quite affordable as well.

Criteria for yacht registry:

This registration would be valid for next 24 months.

Sailing area would be restricted to EU waters

Owner can be an individual or company operating from EU nation.

There will be no survey required of the yacht being registered.

The physical residents of Holland and Norway would not require incorporation to any EU company. 

If in case owner of a yacht provides the yacht for commercial chartering and wishes to sail throughout the world especially outside EU region, it would be essential to have a global registration of yacht following all the norms.

Apart from registration if yacht there might be some other licenses and clearances required for navigation and communication facilities deployed on the yacht. There are specific licenses that need to be carried along with the yacht while sailing in any location. These licenses are mandatory and in case if they are not available, the yacht might be subject to legal action and fine.

Complete radio license with MMSI package: There might be some radio devices deployed on the yacht for communication in case of emergencies and for navigation purpose as well. These radio devices must have a valid license. This process of getting radio license can be completed within 24 hours if the owner goes through an established agency. 

License for VHF, AIS and radar equipment: On completion of required procedure for MMSI package, owner will receive a call sign, MMSI and AIS number that can be used immediately. Apart from cost of license there will be a radio tax invoiced every calendar year.

If the owner wishes to get multiple services in the same instance, the agency provides attractive discount as well. Thus the process can be much affordable and convenient as yacht owners will get all required documents and clearances in minimum possible time.
