It is recommended that textbook writers and educators consider how to create an
intercultural space within the classroom to help learners develop their intercultural competencies and allow effective communication between people of diverse backgrounds.

More emphasis should be placed on the practical aspects of dealing with cultural content in the classroom. Such activities may involve the selection and use of authentic materials (for example, television shows, news broadcasts, photographs, newspapers, magazines, etc); the design and choice of activities and exercises for teaching culture-specific elements as collocations, idioms, proverbs, or realia; planning and facilitating role-plays or simulations related to culturally acceptable and appropriate for the students.

Finally, in the context of globalization, there are unprecedented opportunities for contact between cultures. It should be highlighted that English needs common ground to enable English speakers to communicate, it should also allow the use of varieties of English that represent their uniqueness and support language rights in the context of international communication.
