• More job can be created as the rise of technology is on a incline and can create new industries as well as more offers in existing jobs.

• Productivity improvement: technology can increase the efficiency and productivity of workers, leading to higher economic growth and higher standards of living. (Millennium Infotech | Princeton | NJ, 2023)

• The technological advances of today are affecting the future of work in three key ways: by scaling and speeding up human capabilities, by substituting labor with machines, and by enabling new ways to access and supply labor. (Farrell, 2019)

Negative impacts on employment:

• Inequality may occur when technology and digitalisation over come the job market. For example people with a higher skill set may be given the job over somebody who is less knowledgeable in that sector.

• Society may have a differ perspective on technology and this may have an impact the amount of jobs.

Sustainability and ethical practices could shift the job market in a positive way. For example by being sustainable have adopting ethical practices they build trust and strengthen the bond between employees and the organisation. Employees value honesty of the company and feel more engaged when they have access to relevant and information about the company’s sustainable performances.(Johnston, 2023)

DEI can affect the job market on a huge level as this will boost customer perceptions of the organisation, improve the customer experience, and increase customer satisfaction. DEI refers to policies and procedures that encourage representation and participation of people of different genders, races, ethnicities, religions, ages, sexual orientations, disabilities, and classes. It is also important that all employees have equitable access to salary and benefits, resources, opportunities and to have a voice within their teams. (Penn LPS Online, 2023).

DEI will create a positive effect on the job market as it will anchorage employees retention and empower people to reach their full potential. As well as this creating a culture full of trust will entice society in to all job roles and increase the job the market.

One factor in driving geopolitical risk is the rise of populism. This mean that there could be a decrease in wages but an increase in inequality in major economies. As well as this geopolitical uncertainty would directly and indirectly -via energy price uncertainty (oil, gas) weighing on discretionary household spending and hiring decisions by companies, with both reactions potentially reinforcing each other. (De Vijlde, 2023)
