Tippi and Mykie Vargas aka my parents

These are my parents. They both came from very religious families. My dad and mom always make sure to teach us lessons coming from the Bible, usually every Sunday. Every Sunday, before we go to church they make us discuss the gospel. They ask us our thoughts and what we think the lesson of the gospel is. Then we watch a video by Catholic Kids Media on youtube. And during summer, they made us learn about the whole Bible. I don't remember what particular video they showed us, but I remember most of the teachings. They always say that we need to put Jesus and God before anyone and anything.

Raffy Vargas aka my tito

These are my titos, but the one who really influenced the growth of my faith is my Tito Raffy. He's the one in the middle. He's the brother of my father and growing up he was my favorite tito. Even if he lives in Bacolod, which is where both sides of my family are from, he always stays in touch with us. He was one of my sponsors when I was confirmed last Feb 2020. When he came back here to Manila last Christmas, he always joined us in our daily Rosary. He also never failed to go to mass every Sunday with us. He also taught us that we have to pray everyday for everything and everyone we have in our lives.

And finally, we have the rest of my family. (This is an old photo since this is the last family photo we took before COVID. We haven't been able to get all together again. There have been new additions to my family since this picture was taken.) Every single one of them has influenced me in one way or another towards God. I mean even in some family vacations, that are here the the Philippines, they ask a priest to come where we are just so that we can go to mass. The background is one of the places we go to usually, it's in Sipalay City, and my family usually asks a priest from the church in the city to come and officiate the mass. And we've gone to mass that was in Japanese too. I just chose to highlight the ones who really really influenced me.
