Students can work independently or in pairs and they fill out their sheet with the norms. After everyone is finished we go over the slides and I hang up my norms on the wall for students to reference at any time. I have a set of questions on the board for students to pick from such as a favorite book, color, and animal. Everyone will say their name, and they will choose one question from the board to answer about themselves when they have the ball. I start and say, "My name is Ms. Holdaway and my favorite book is A Court of Thorns and Roses by Sarah J Mass". Then I would toss the ball to a student. Then it is their turn. There are a few rules though. If a student throws a ball too hard or makes the next student miss, they have to answer another question.
