I came to Israel for the first time when I was 18 years old. I studied and worked on a kibbutz together with 20 other Canadians from Montreal. I loved my experience very much and I also I fell in love with a very cute Israeli guy. However, broken hearted, I had to return to Montreal to finish University. I only came back to Israel after I finished my first degree. I married my Israeli boyfriend and here we are during our honeymoon trip to NEPAL in Katmandu in 1988. Yes, I did the Annapurna trek!

Before i start the academy i was Treveld in Switzerland, i visited about 7 city's and 5 district. i think what the most Caught my attention is the varied people and places that so close but so different. you can see at city a bushiness man and woman that wears expansive suits and driving in Porsche or jaguar and everyone just rush from one bank to another or to the office. but 10 minute driving from the all noise and fancy stores you can find yourself set on the huge grass at someone farm and look the mount around you, or see a old fisherman trying his luck to catch a fish for his dinner, not because hes poor, but he just do it for fun. the second thing is the culture, they are all so polite and happy people how always smile and think positive all the time.

There are many challenges for immigrants in new countries. The most important challenge is language, they don't know the language of the country so they can't even communicate that it's a basic thing. Secondly, it is difficult to get used to a different culture. Every country has a different culture and in order to feel part of the country and culture, you have to know the culture even though it is different. Lastly, one does not know the state and therefore it is impossible to be free in the state. For example, if you want to go to the sea, do not know where it is and how to get there.
Keren Sharkat

There is a lot of challengs that immigrants experience. The first one is the language. It takes time to learn a new language and this makes it more difficult to get a job or develop relationships with other people. Another thing that often changes from one country to another is culture. In every contry the people behave diffrent and the immigrants need to learn their culture to fit in.
Maya Shkury

In Israel like in other countries there is immigrants every year. To be an immigrant it’s hard something, I think that they deal with a lot of challenges.First, every country have different culture and this cause sometimes to discomfort and difficult acclimation. in addition its can strike in communication with other people in state. Second, the different language Is a major obstacle because it's the best way to communicate with each other , If the immigrant did not know the language, he would also find it difficult to find work and earn a living

After two years she changed her status to permanent resident. My mum left behind all her big family and a successful radio show just because of Zionism. At the age 23 and only with 500 dollar she started her life in a new country with no friends or family. She stayed in 'Absorption Center' for 6 months and then she had Ander 6 months in Kibbutz 'Mishmar Hashron'. As her daughter I can tell that she did not understand the Israeli mentality yet but same day she will get there so I'm optimistic.
Nataly Spenser

My parents were born in the Soviet Union, they immigrated to Israel at the age of 12 with their families. They came to Israel without any language or money. The government of Israel distributed apartments to new immigrants, but the queues for apartments in the center of the country were too long to wait, so apartments were distributed only in the south of the country. They got apartments in Mitzpe Ramon that my parents lived with their families in Amidar apartments. My parents did not know each other, but they attended the same school in Mitzpe Ramon. My mother's good friend had a boyfriend, who happened to be my dad's big brother. My dad's brother and his girlfriend (and my mom's friend too) arranged a double date between my parents. And from there it's all history, they got married at the age of 17 and I was born very quickly later.
Barbara Katz

my name: Maor shak

Why do people immigrate to other countries?

its can be from a lot of reasons! the first and most popular is immigration for new work at another country. That opportunity is "once in a life" and for some of us, this is a dream to true.

Another reason can be from religious point. Jews is Israel for example, Arabs to the Middle East and etc. This people make immigration from a place of faith.

The last reason can be from the desire to discover the world, to live some years near to new cultures, to met new people and learn about ancient History.

Moving from one country to another is a difficult process that causes challenges, such as differences in culture, a new language.
As each country has its own customs and language and people who come from another country do not know the language, it is very difficult for them to communicate with the local people and understand the customary customs.
Another difficulty is the lack of geographical knowledge.
Getting to know the different areas of the country is very important and helps to move from one place to another. This lack of knowledge is very problematic because a person who does not grow up in a certain environment does not know the environment enough and it will be very difficult to live in a certain place at first.

Avia Kohari
