By: Marjie Lundstrom
The issue in this article that the author is writing about is about the kids , after that they have 12 to 13 years old they start to commit crimes. Also in this article say that they are not adults which portrays her argument that kids shouldn't be punished with life sentences or death penalties because they don't quite know what's going on. The Author main argument is that the kids think that they act if they are adults and they don't think that things that they are doing it. The author examples are: In a quote she says "Today we are witness to criminal defendants facing life sentences without parole who cannot shave, still play with fire trucks and love to act out scenes from television or video games," which proves how kids are still kids mentally and physically. In my opinion the three different 's types of expressions are : the juvenile's different from an adult is their act, because they know their right's from wrong' s, yet make foolish mistakes. Juveniles are also very arrogant and sometimes it leads them to doing bad things.

The issue of this article is whether or not teens should be treated as adults when they commit crimes. The author's main argument is that teenagers are not yet adults, and that the legal system should not treat them like one. One author's example is his research group at the University of California, Los Angeles, In which his colleagues at the National Institutes of Health have developed technology to map the patterns of brain growth in individual children and teenagers. With repeated brain scans of kids from three to twenty, we pieced together. The author's conclusion is that there is loss of brain tissue and explains that there are changes occurring in the brain which in turn affects the decision making processing of the teen. The article "Secrets of the Teenage Brain" support the idea that idea that the teen brain is not full developed, and that they do not thinks as adults yet. The article "It’s Poverty, Not the ‘Teenage Brain,’ That Causes the Most Youth Crime" supports the idea that poverty is what affected teenage crimes. The article "Why Teenagers act crazy" supports the idea that teenagers are not mature enough when they decisions. I my opinion the article "Startling Finds in Teenage Brains" is a helpful and informative article, It helped me to understand what affected teenage brains when they commit crimes. I believe that teenagers should not be treated as adults by the law because their brain is not fully developed.

By: Jennifer Jenkins
This issue in this article is that Jennifer believes that children that commit the murders should go to prison despite their age. Also in this article say that Jennifer is a strong believer that children are responsible for their actions and need to be condemned for crimes such as murder. Even when others use sympathy and immaturity of kids to object her statements, she remains strong in the condemning believe of young adults. Some arguments that the author say is that the juveniles minimize these offenders culpability. The article "Juvenile Death Penalty: Fair or Unfair?" support the idea that being a teenager does not make you less guilty when you commit a crime. The article " Some juvenile killers deserve adult justice" support the idea that teenager that commit murder should be treated with the law as adults. The article "Should Teen Murderers Receive Life Without Parole?" agree with the article because teenagers deserve be treated as adults..
