This is the work I did in class, I learnt how to draw different 3D shapes and also how to draw from one point as well as two point perspectives. On one of the pages I also practiced on my straight lines/right angles and my circles. My circles have really imporved from what I did when I first tried compared to what is shown in the picture.

11 September Class progress

In this lesson, we practised graphic modeling which has low fidelity. I learnt/practised how to draw different organic shapes and turn them into mouses of our own design. I mainly applied form follows function to my designs, adding rendering to show different features. I also added a few annotations to my sketches.

Class Progress- Crating

Homework

I have never done crating before so this being my first time I struggled bit. Although after a few practices I think I got the hang of it. I think that crating is a good way to get proportions correct as well as if you are tryong to "duplicate" a previous drawing. You could also go further by rendering areas to make it more 3D. I definitely need more practice with crating but its not too bad for the first time.

Areas I would like to work on:

Self-Management} Persevere with an optimistic approach and view challenges as opportunities to refine work -I often can get annoyed if I can't figure something out or can't get it right, but I need to work on using it as an opportunity to learn and problem solve.

Collaboration} Contribute to discussions face-to-face - I tend to stay quite quiet during class discussions but I should work on sharing more of my ideas.

Communication} Express my ideas in written work - When it comes to annotation I sometimes struggle with that, so I want to work on getting more of my ideas and thinking down on paper.

I practices drawing mouses from different angles and thinking of new designs. I still haven't quite figured out all of the ways I can draw them.

Foam model- Mouse

I created a foam model of a mouse. I applies many skills I have learnt over the years to make the foam the form i wanted. I also learnt new skills while using the whole puncher and hammer to make circles to add more detail.

Fusion 360 Mouse

Fusion 360 is a platform that is new to me. I have never used something like this before, meaning it was a challenge to get started. Over time I figures things our and gained more confidence.

This was the first test, experimenting with the different ways to create a dome shape, using paper as a alternative to bioplastic so I dont waste materials.

I needed to find a way to connect the flaps. With Ms Vaughan we thought of somr ways we could solve this problem. We landed on this(in the photo) but ended up changing the way we do it because we thought this was too fiddly.
