I suppose that considering the time period and circumstance it was right for Lennie to meet his end, but if I were George I would have tried to go about other means for a solution like maybe just running away. If George had ran away though, George would have been blamed as well as Lennie for what happened, Lennie was wearing down on George and it wasn't fair for George to be responsible for Lennie any longer. Overall I reluctantly agree that George made the right choice. George knew that if Lennie was jailed or left alone he would have been killed either way. In the way that George did it, he made sure that Lennie knew how much he cared about him before he did it.
