         <title>Chem 10th Metacognitive skills.</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I guess that I somehow have incorporated metacognitive skills in teaching without knowing that it had a name.<br>I get students to look and see if there are other methods that they can use to answer problems, explaining them to others in the class.<br>I constantly try and make the learning relevant to them, making them think of analogies or examples where they have seen things before.&nbsp;<br>I like the idea of getting students to reflect more on their own learning, through keeping a journal, or reflecting on how they learnt the work.<br>By getting students to use a virtual notebook I am hoping that they can add to their work, find other information and see if this helps their learning.&nbsp;<br>Also, the simple fact of letting them know that as they think about what they are thinking about will help them is really important.</div>]]></description>
