Blockchain technology has been used for cryptocurrency for many years now. The benefits of blockchain use in the healthcare industry are in the infancy stages. This technology could be useful for the decentralization of patient medical records. Any medical professional could easily access patient documents. For example, this would be beneficial if a John Doe entered the healthcare system and a medical history could not be obtained. This technology would offer clinical trials easier consent processes, and improve accountability, audit ability, and transparency. Drug tracking would allow for the monitoring of drug manufacturing from production to sales decreasing the chances of tampering. The barriers to the implementation of blockchain technology include the time constraints and costs associated with authentication of the data. Other possible considerations for problems implementing this technology would be a lack of standardization, accessibility, and ownership of the blockchain.

Being a cryptocurrency user myself, I think blockchain technology would be a great benefit in the healthcare industry. There have been more breaches in my bank for security purposes than in my cryptocurrency account. This leads me to believe that blockchain technology can offer highly secure methods for exchanging healthcare information and lead to a more proficient interoperability with other healthcare organizations.

Relator, arranger, consistency, adaptability, and activator. Two of the five themes are relationship building and executing. Relator and adaptability will allow me to build close relationships with my team members and other stakeholders of the project. Adaptability shows that I am flexible as the needs of the project change. The executing themes of arranger and consistency are helpful for organization and productivity. Consistency allows me to treat everyone fairly by setting clear goals and expectations.
