I think right now in architecture's world is a boom. Previously in the 90's, the world facts that enviroment was having irreparable damage for the abusive comsuption of natural resources. Since then some architects have been trying to make something diference and helping the enviroment, reducing the quantity of natural resources involved in the process of construction. First, I would like to point that housing is a topic really important, because it involves people, in manners like culture, behavior, sociology, and environment. It is in the last manner that nowdays, lots of studies have been stablished for searching new ways to make the impact of building decrease in order to help the environment, there is where words like "eco friendly and sustainable housing" have appeared, these studies specifies techniques, material, products and transportation of materials to be more kind to the surroundings. My name is Paola Martinez, and I am an architect. I like doing many things, such as reading, watching a good movie with my friends or taking long walks with my pets. But what I really enjoy is my profession, for it allows me to dream.

 I consider that architecture, is the result of a well-adjusted integration of scientific methodology and artistic sensibility. I mean, for me it is not only about understanding the dynamic context from historic, stylistic and infrastructure perspectives when designing buildings, but it is also about making that understanding activate my imagination, so that I can share my vision of the world.  

To answer your question, I would say that Ecofriendly and Sustainable housing, is mainly an effort to be kinder with the environment, then, it involves homes constructed with materials and technology that reduce the impact of the pollution in the world.
