When the lights went down the projector was coming out. The overhead projector was the saving grace in school at this time. It really helped visual learners get a grasp on things without the extra work of drawing diagrams by hand. The teachers really enjoyed using them as well. How convenient, you could wipe away all of the writing and get ready for the next class.

Now we arrive in the more recent years of classroom normality. Everyone has a Chromebook in school nowadays. This made learning accessible to everyone. By that I mean students are using these not only for their homework but their own interests as well. With YouTube and Google being at the forefront. Not to mention the accessible communication you could have with your teacher being able to email them whenever you'd like.

I remember these being the sign of a good time to come. However, I never realized just how old these were. Apparently, even kids in the 80s remember using these to watch a documentary or even simple movie on a Friday.

Around this time in the early 2000s computer lab was a day we were all looking forward to. KidPix and WordArt kept us entertained for ages. If only they did something about that AC. Now of course, now that we're older we realize they do that for a reason but it didn't take away from the fact that you needed a jacket on computer lab day.

Whiteboards are a thing of the past. Say hello to the smart board. Smart boards help teachers more than students. They are able to bring up any information without have to plug in any cables into their laptop. Also being able to bring up presentations and make any changes needed on the fly.

Looking up current events wasn't as easy as it sounded. You think since it was current that information would be readily available. Back in the 70s and 80s it wasn't. You had to use these microfilm readers to sift through pages on pages of newspaper clippings to find what you needed.
