Craziest thing that ive come to realise is that we find strength in our diversity. Stop, and think about it, what if a group of people were assigned to build a house, and all of them know how to build the frame. That's it. No one knew how to hang sheet rock or put in windows or paint. There are many cases expressing what they believe that is going to help them. Therefore it is important to be culturally competent in the field of human services to be able to support families as working providers.
I feel that the commonalities of how they teach their child how to be strong and independent by being strict and providing tough love so that they will grow up to be tough and strong.
Important beleifs about child hood affects how what type of men they will be in the future. I notice some nurturing and attachments issues with some of the cases.

I fear for the many children who are defenseless and have no voice and nobody to shield them from abuse or neglect. Some individuals believe in their minds that physical and emotional abuse has no effect on a child's developmental process. I learned that you can fight for what you believe in even though it may not be easy. It was fun to see how the fathers were more physically affectionate when the sons were children but as they transitioned to adulthood the fathers became more like friends.
