this article explains what is the major difference between homeless families and homeless individuals.  while homeless individuals are more highly concentrated in in neighborhoods of high poverty meanwhile homeless families decide to concentrated in the suburbs or areas with shelters.

Homelessness is the effect of many problems. a lot of homeless individuals suffere from substance abuse , financial inestability , mental illness and domestic abuse.
3. Florida student homelessness continues to rise.

according to reports by miami homes for all shows that the lack of affordable housing for students at the University of florida is the main cause for student homelessness

I choose sp2 because this activity helped me see the other side of homelessness. Homelessness is a difficult situation that sometimes can last forever, so for me to do some research and see what are some of the many causes of homelessness  here in Miami Florida , this research also helped me see what were  some of the  areas where homeless people reside  and also the difference between homeless families and homeless individuals and when it comes of the location if their permanent stay . the different type of areas they decide to reside on.

I choose CAS2 Because wildfires had always been a topic that interested me, however before dong this activity I did not have the knowledge of a technique used by native people of burning some parts of the forest so then the wildfires weren’t going to be as awful as they normally were but this tecnique was banned by the goverment a few years after it was reveal to the public   therefore this activity helped me to gain knowledge of how wildfires can be reduced to a minimum and if we decide to use this method in the future states that are at high risk of wildfires can be more  safe.

I choose CAS3 because I based my research on how can supercharge plants help us reduce the c02 from the environment. I found really interesting how some specific plants can get all the c02 from the environment and sent it underground, these specific plants also   help us fight against  climate change and see how easy they are  to maintain. after doing this activity i came to the realization of how easy can be for all of us to take action into hands when it comes to climate change and take care of our planet.

this video was about how damaging for the environment it is to keep producing and consuming water bottles. the story of bottled water shows how blinded we are as a society by the industry and commercialism, water bottle companies not only affects us but the environment as well, the machine that is used to create the water bottles releases a toxin in the environment which is toxic for the ozone layer not only that but it also gets dumped at India contaminating and violating the privacy of the civilians.

this video talks about how dangerous are for us to keep using products full of chemicals. Marketing tactics of million of companies keep us from ceasing the use of these toxic products and they are constantly beneficiating from it by using them as their lab rats and testing new chemical ingredients. if there was some kind of honesty about the ingredients of these products I am sure people would consider if it is worth it using  them or not.
Reflection:

what I learned after watching the first video was to try and not consume bottled water instead I should invest in a tap water system by doing this I am not only helping the environment but myself, animals, and the ecosystem. I could also help to recycle all the plastic bottles at my house instead of throwing them away.

after watching the second video I came to the realization that we should be more careful at what kind of products we decide to buy and use and maybe it could be better to use vegan beauty products since they don't contain harmful ingredients for us.

- prescribed burning is a practice made by indigenous people in which specific sections of a forest is burned prescribed burning also occurs when a lighting strikes a forest, even though controlled forest is good for the forest , the US mandate a law where the practice of prescribed burning was not allow due to this our forest had been reshaped into a drier and dead material which resulted in causing the wildfires to strike faster and more dramatric. the united states is having problems controling these fires so that is why scientist and indigenous people are pushing to bring back burning the fire to our own terms.
7 hopeful climate change stories from around the globe.

even though humans manage to ruin our planet thermostat by burning fossil fuel, usign gasoline and cleaning our forest , there are several hopeful signs from around the world that shows how climate trends might finally be moving in the right direction. indonesia drop in forestation , the united kingdom's great decoupling , costa rica goes renewable. these are one of the few 7 ideas for climate change around the world.
reflection:

Climate change is a situation that worries me on the daily. climate change is a serious problem and it should be taken as it is,  we as a population living in the same place should  put  the effort and start taking care of our planet and the ozone layer . taking care of our planet is really easy: nstead of using plastic bottle of waters we should bring our own bottle or mug , we could turn off the excess of lights in our houses , recycle and grow our own plants , try to ride a bike or walk instead of driving everywhere and last but not least get politically active , it is extremely important to be aware of the voting climate action.

in this ted talk , I learned a lot about how plants not only provide us oxygen but help us with the CO2 in our environment. plants that have photosynthetic organism help us  restore all the CO2 ,found in the air , underground and also turning it into sugar. A big contribution that  we all could do is include these type of plants into our backyard so not only scientist are part of this big movement against climate change but all of us as a big community. Climate change is a serious problem that should get the recognition its deserves.
video 2 : A new way to remove CO2 from the atmosphere

In this Ted  talk , I learned about how can we as a society lower the rate of CO2 from the environment . We could switch to clean energy , plan more trees and reduce air travel , the amount of CO2 release from electric generation is a big problem and mostly the reason why we ( humans ) take a big responsibility when it comes to the amount of CO2 in the environment.
Reflection:

what I learned from the Ted Talks I watched is that we humans form a big part in climate change and some other factors contributing to climate change and how fast its escalating, that being said we must take matters into hand and listen to all the tips and to-do list scientist give us when it comes to climate change and even though we might have all the resources they have we can still help and contribute to this cause

Because of climate change coral reef have suffer through an intense ocean heat waves. reefs not only provide beautiness to the ocean but everything to people, from food to income reefs also protec those who lived near the ocean by breaking strong waves away when a storm hits.I learned from this video that there are coral that have survived high heat waves in the ocean and can help other reefs by passing along their trait to their offpring and that way they can help the corals in that new area to cope with global warming.

even though researchers are trying to continue with this idea , it is not enough to prevent the loss of coral reefs in our oceans , the best way to prevent the loss of them is by working on how can we help on global warming and being aware of  how it affects and dangers oceans and sea life.
