Another type of person I plan on talking with I want to talk to other Artists online, such as myself, to find out more about that world, as well as find some tips and advice that could help improve my presence online with my art and help with getting my work from it.

Her works always leave an impression on me, with her use of colours and her designs. She experiments with so many colours and methods, improving her craft.

1. Stellaura, could you tell us when your passion for art began and what or who inspired you? It could be anything, not just other artists.

2. Did you take a form of art through education? If so, how far did you take the course, and what type of courses did you take?

Answers

1. My passion for art has always existed. I’ve been drawing ever since I could hold a pencil. The process and the feeling of a finished drawing have most inspired me. But another vast and undeniable inspiration has always been the art of my favourite cartoons and video games!

2. I am pursuing an art education, specifically a program for game art, at the university I attend. Before this, I had no other art education and learned mainly by myself.

3. I don't think I was ever close to quitting art since it's been a constant. However, there was a long period when I was discouraged from pursuing art as a career and only wanted to do it as a hobby. I believed I couldn't make a living doing art based on what I heard from the adults around me.

4. When I just started doing commission work online, there was a really kind friend who commissioned me immediately! So I got pretty lucky in that regard.

6. My biggest commission was for a friend a twitch streamer. They wanted me to design their entire character, do a whole character sheet and make an avatar they can use. I was very honored that someone was putting that level of trust in me and my work! Plus, they paid me very well :)

7. I don't struggle with art blocks that much. Sometimes, your hands and body need to take a break from creating to be able to create again. Other than resting, I usually get around an art block by doing technical practice of the fundamentals.

8. If I said all the tips I knew about social media promotion for artists, we'd be sitting here all day long, haha! If you want the optimal approach to promoting your art, there are too many algorithms and systems to cater to. You can iterate on different forms of sharing your art and try out different platforms until you find something that works for you. Even then, my main point is to do what you like and do it as well as possible. People recognise passion.

9. The worst advice I've heard has usually been the "well-intentioned" lecture about how art isn't a profitable career. Those statements make you depressed about your future and make you want to stop trying to fulfil your passion whatsoever. Especially to a younger artist who might be more insecure about their abilities, perpetuating this stigma can be devastating.

10. Everyone always says this, but draw or paint what you love. You need to practice, improve, and draw different things to hone your skills. But balance it out and keep getting inspired by your favourite shows, characters, artists, games and music to keep your flame going.

Though it's not his main focus, art has been a passion of his as well with his comics, and I find the style to be very expressive with how simple they are; he can pull the expression more without it appearing odd.

Dread's art feels very professional, feeling like something you would find in concept art for games, stories and movies. I love how much it all works together.

Stell has a mascot/persona and an aesthetic to how she portrays herself, with many clouds and a big theme of blue. So, I plan on taking this and adding it to this page. Having a very cloudy feelings.
