         <description><![CDATA[<p>Marie Jeanne Baptiste of Savoy-Nemours was born on April 11, 1644, at the Hôtel de Nemours in Paris; she was the eldest of five children born to Charles Amdues, Duke of Nemours, and his wife, Princess Elisabeth de Bourbon-Vendôme. Marie’s family wanted to match her with Charles Emmanuel II, Duke of Savoy, who was the half-aunt of Elisabeth. Marie Jeanne Baptiste married Charles Emmanuel II on May 20, 1665. She died on March 15, 1724 (she was 79 years old).</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Marie Adélaïde of Savoy, born on December 6th, 1685, was the eldest daughter of Victor Amadeus II, Duke of Savoy since 1675, and his French wife, Anne Marie d’Orléans, a niece of Louis XIV and Henrietta of England. The marriage of Marie Adélaïde resulted from the Treaty of Turin signed in August 1696. This treaty, agreed upon by her father and Loys XLV, stipulated that her father would support France during the nine-year war. She died on February 23 of 1712 (she was 26 years old).</p>]]></description>
