The conflict in the story is, Nick Andrea's falls in love with this girl, Caitlin McCourt. Nick falls so much in love that he becomes a literal control freak. He wants to control every aspect in her life and when he can't, he rages. Nick also deals with constant put downs and beatings from his dad at age 16, his mom ran away when he was five, and never saw her since. Since that Nick hit Caitlin several times and she got a restraining order. Nick takes violence classes and is now the hated guy around town.

A possible scenario for a sequel is Nick and Caitlin see each other and have family's but kept there past a secret of this relationship. When they see each other Nick says hi and she ignores him which gets him mad again and then a tiny conflict happens.

Then the rest of the story is Nick stalking Cat until he gets arrested.
