This website is created as part of my Usrah 1 Task 2 project. Here, I will share about myself, my Usrah participation, my contribution to our group project, and personal reflections. I hope this portfolio reflects my journey and the knowledge I’ve gained through this meaningful experience.

Then, we moving on to the next agenda which learning Adab while learning knowledge.In Week 1 of Usrah, I learned about the importance of adab (manners) in seeking knowledge and how the Qur’an is a book of guidance for our lives. We began with a taaruf session to get to know each other, which helped create a warm and welcoming environment. I learned that adab isn’t just about being polite but it’s about having the right attitude toward Allah, the Prophet, our teachers, and even ourselves. The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) was described as a walking Qur’an, showing us that good character is at the heart of being a good Muslim. I also discovered seven golden etiquettes for students of knowledge, including having sincere intentions, avoiding bad habits, making du’a, and being thankful.

Reflecting on this, I realized that seeking knowledge is not just about gaining information but it’s about becoming a better person. Learning adab made me more aware of how I behave during classes, how I treat others, and how I connect with Allah. It reminded me to be humble, sincere, and disciplined. I also learned that the Qur’an is not just a holy book to be recited, but a guide for life also teaching us about faith, worship, good character, and how to handle challenges. This week’s lesson inspired me to be more mindful in my learning and to treat knowledge as a trust from Allah, not just something to pass exams.

For the next Usrah, I really hope we can have more fun and engaging activities, not just learning, but bonding as a group too. It would be nice to do things together that help us grow closer, both as friends and as Muslims.

I also enjoyed how we could express ourselves through presentations and discussions because it brought out my creative side, and it felt nice to contribute something. Some topics were completely new to me, but they opened my eyes and made me more curious to learn.Overall, this Usrah made me feel more connected to Allah, to my faith, and to everyone in the group. I further appreciate that true Ihsan requires a level of self-reflection and commitment, not simply acts of kindness done once in a while. It is a lifestyle that embodies the essence of faith. In trying to achieve Ihsan, I improve as a servant of Allah and as someone who is able to have a positive impact on my surroundings.

On the first aspect, kindness and good treatment serve as a reminder to always be respectful and sympathetic to our neighbors. This comprises speaking politely and assisting when in need. The Quran says: "Do good to the near neighbour and the distant neighbour." (Surah An-Nisa, 4:36). This shows that being kind to neighbours is not just a culture but something practiced in good faith. The poster also explains that kindness softens hearts and brings Allah's goodness to the entire community.

Secondly, sharing what we have is another major Islamic teaching. Whether it is gifts, help, or food, donating to neighbors strengthens relations and encourages goodwill. The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ said: "O Abu Dharr! If you cook broth, add water to it and give some to your neighbours." (Sahih Muslim 2625). This hadith is a reminder that even small things can be acts of charity. Islam reminds us that we should practice being thankful and repair loneliness through what we can offer.

Another important point is guarding the privacy and honour of neighbours. This is not backbiting neighbours, gossiping about them, or invading their private lives. The Quran says: "And do not spy or backbite each other…" (Surah Al-Hujurat, 49:12). When privacy is respected, communities are sanctuaries of peace and trust. However, when this rule is violated, relationships are tainted and the unity of the Ummah is lost.

The poster also mentions patience with neighbours. This means forgiving their mistakes and overlooking minor annoyances. The Quran says: "Those who control their anger and forgive people, Allah loves the good doers." (Aali 'Imran 3:134). Patience guards us against unnecessary conflicts and maintains harmony in the neighbourhood.

Finally, praying for neighbors is a beautiful way of connecting. As we pray sincerely for their happiness, safety, and blessings, they gain as much as we gain. The Prophet ﷺ instructed: "The supplication of a Muslim for his brother in his absence will certainly be answered…" (Sahih Muslim 2732). Praying creates love among the people and attains Allah's protection and rewards.

In short, this poster reminds us that neighbourliness is not only a social duty but is part of our faith. With these adab such as goodness, generosity, respectfulness, patience, and genuine prayers, we embellish our character and spread peace and blessings around.

I also learned that Islam encourages us to show adab towards neighbours, society, and teachers. Treating neighbours kindly, helping them in times of need, and avoiding harm creates a peaceful and united community. As a student, having adab means being humble, respectful, and sincere in seeking knowledge. True knowledge only enters a pure and humble heart. Overall, this lesson taught me that good manners are not just about politeness, but about living with compassion, humility, and respect for others, all for the sake of Allah SWT.

I also learned that protecting the environment is part of our faith. The Prophet SAW taught us not to waste water, even when performing ablution near a river, and encouraged planting trees as a good deed. These teachings remind me that small actions, like saving water and avoiding pollution, are ways to show gratitude to Allah and fulfill our duty as Muslims.
