The particular issue I want to solve is why Thailand has such a devastating ecosystem and how new technologies and practices could help renew the lost forests of this Southeastern Asian country.

I am particularly interested in this topic because this environmental loss had been ongoing since 2004, and has not improved since. Plus, I was shocked when I realized that Thailand was once an agrarian country, so I'm confused on how the current trends in the country have affected its former economy, and how the residents don't seem to be able to take care of a resource that they used over the span of generations.

A lens that could work well for this topic is an economic lens, as Thailand relies on its agriculture, which is currently being decimated due to a terrible environment, as a source of national income. Another lens would be from a health perspective, as the overflow of pollution into waterways and throughout the air can damage the lungs of Thailand's citizens as well as poison their drinking source, both of which would be caused by the issue at hand.

I'm interested in this in the fact that Marine and undiscovered life interests me, and the fact we have such a massive plane of undersea life so close to Texas is fascinating.

1. Social Lens: As people will want to preserve this, and people will have different social views on how to go around treating the reefs.
