ethnicity: the fact or state of belonging to a social group that has a common national or cultural tradition

diversity: understanding that each individual is unique, and recognizing our individual differences.
social class: a division of a society based on social and economic status
gender: state of being male or female
equity: quality of being fair and equal for all
social justice: justice in terms of the distribution of wealth, opportunities, and privileges within a society
race: categorizing humans into groups based on combinations of shared physical traits, ancestry, genetics, and social or cultural traits
racism: prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior
institutional racism: a pattern of social institutions— such as governmental organizations, schools, banks, and courts of law — giving negative treatment to a group of people based on their race
