Theme: the theme is a change occuring in ones life like the seasons changing.
FL: The whole poem is basically a metaphor for change by comparing a big change to the seasons changing, their is imagery that is used to describe the seasons.
Setting is somewhere in nature, not a lot of structure, repetition or rhyme and uses very descriptive diction. Mood is very calm or zen. Tone is also very calm
What stood out to us most was how he compared the big change coming to the seasons changing and cold coming through after forests and trees were burned.

theme: sometimes seeing the inside of a person can be just as beautiful as seeing the outside of the person
FL: There is a lot of imagery describing the scene and there are some metaphors. For example "the woman with back to me is a shadow".
There is a calm or soft diction, tone and mood. There is no repetition, but there is some rhyme which creates structure and rhythm.
What stood out to us the most was the way he described the woman by comparing her to objects and cityscape.

The poem is about lovers who probably read a lot of novels so they believe their love is cliche but they lean on each other to make the worry go away
Theme: cliched love.
FL: There doesn't appear to be any figurative language in this poem.
The mood is lighthearted
The tone is worryful but also lighthearted like the mood
The poem is structured in a way so that there is no rhythm, repetition or rhyme. The diction is very emotional and passionate
What stood out to us the most was how he described the relationship and described everything that made them seem cliche but was instead kind of cute.

Theme/Message: The message is that one day the universe will become cold because of all the stars that will explode and lose their ability to burn gases.
Figurative Language: "his eyes aglitter with something like joy, scientists with a grin, cocking his head and clucking at us like a proud successful hen" - The scientist enjoys talking about the universe and explaining what happens in it.
"Instead we sat and heard him tell his story as if he aimed it at the sleeping child on my shoulder"- The scientist could've explained it in a complex way where only he could've understood it but he wanted everyone to understand what he was saying.
Structure: This is a free verse poem with the author being glad to explain what he likes to learn about.
Connections: What stood out to me the most was the authors ability to describe how everything happened with the use of similes and the simplicity. It made me realize things are only as complicated as you make them seem.
