I did some similar activities in my classroom. Activity:
At the beginning of the class, I introduced students to sites such as NASA and Google Earth. I have used such content to show them what our planet Earth looks like and have them interested in exploring themselves further and figuring out why the ground we walk on is much larger than we can see or how to fall off the planet if it is round.
In the middle of the class, students embarked on a virtual journey through our solar system and space, all the way to distant stars through a book, application, and peeking into the secrets of our incredible universe. Scientists have been exploring the universe for over 60 years, and thanks to them, we can find and see enough photographs of celestial objects.
As they studied the cosmos, boys and girls expanded their vistas, maintained a sense of astonishment at the world around them, and spent their leisure time well. Some interesting features they discovered: The solar system is a place with strange phenomena: Pluto's volcanoes of ice, Mars is a US-sized canyon, Venus has super-powerful winds, the sun's atmosphere is much warmer than the surface (While the visible surface of the sun, the photosphere, has 5,500 degrees Celsius, the upper atmosphere has a temperature of one million degrees) ...
First of all, it is important that the aircraft visit all the planets in the solar system. Most of the data and the most flights were performed by NASA's Voyager1 and Voyager2, which left Earth in 1977 and are still collecting data outside the solar system in the interstellar space.
The class was dominated by creativity, interactivity and dynamism that made the class such that students wanted to be present, follow with care and acquire knowledge.

In my lessons, with my 13-15 year old students, I can probably include Planet Earth activities whereby Decision Making and Collaborative and Teamwork skills are encouraged and enhanced. One activity that comes to my mind is where students are given a task where as a group and in different teams they need to agree on which 5 objects from a total of 20 they need to take to another planet in space as a fictitious environmental crisis has occurred on on earth. In this manner, depending on the objects presented, learner become very critical in their choices taking into account the different elements that constitutes other planets and space.

In my lessons with secondary school students we work in groups and make research about each planets. With this method students can discuss inside the group witch information is important or interesting to them. Also, while students are making research they are using digital technologies and the Internet, so they have opportunity to find good visual materials. At the end every group is presenting the results and we are having discussion about each topic.

I work in a kindergaretn. Contrary to appearances, children really like the subject of space and planets. I show them the entire solar system, we call the planets, we look at which are closest to Earth, and the furthest. We are talking about: is there life on another planet. Each such occupation ends with an artistic job. Children create small galaxies, star systems. I also show children how the Earth from space looks like and how pollution affects our planet. I asked students to prepare a document describing a fictional planet that has conditions for the development and maintenance of life on that planet. This document must include: Name of the planet, the planetary system (with other stars) and the galaxy; Data * referring to conditions favorable to life; Illustration of the planet and some forms of life that may exist on this planet. I did an activity on the same theme with middle school students. The problem was How are the humans affecting the atmosphere?

One of the most important ways in which humans are affecting the atmosphere is by upsetting some of the processes in the carbon cycle. Students studied scientific articles on the subject and did experiments to test their hypotheses. They were very interested in the topic, but especially the boys.

Last year I worked on the atmosphere topic with my 13-year-old pupils. The students worked in groups, carrying out some experiments about air properties. Then each group explained to the rest of the class how they proceeded, what they observed and what their conclusions were. Then we talked about air and life and air pollution. Students were encouraged to think about how they could prevent or reduce air pollution. They eventually made a poster promoting public transport means.

I think the moon phases could be explained well with 3 students who act as the sun, the moon and the earth. I read the module about the Earth's Atmosphere and I found it interesting. Since I teach English in my lessons it would be useful to use the Hypothesis Scratchpad https://www.golabz.eu/ and on the same platform the Experiment Design Tool. I would obviously work in collaboration with the science teacher and within an eTwinning project on an Earth-related topic. During the implementation of the weekly theme "We are not alone in space," preschoolers (6- 5-year-olds) learned, among other things, the names of the planets of the Solar System: they arranged puzzles "Space - Solar System", arranged pictures of the planets in order from the Sun, matched the names of the planets to the photo, they watched movies about space. Realizing the theme "Days, months, years" passed, the names of the seasons were recorded, with the month days of the week, preschoolers perceived the cyclical nature of their occurrence. In the coming weeks, we will be implementing topics related to the world of plants and animals of our planet, threats resulting from global warming. I read with interest all the ideas presented. I work with 11 -13 years old students and it would be interesting to develop a project like the one presented on creating a space-colony and use this model to introduce and discuss the concept of evolution and adaptation using an inquire based approach. In our high school we implement the teaching method of "active learning" and in particular in the sciences lessons
the IBSE method. At each lesson I put in place a workshop in which the students work independently according to guidelines and materials that I provide them, in order to reach conclusions and bring out the contents of the lesson on their own. The activity on the atmosphere is excellent for practicing our teaching method and is very similar to what we already do in class, for example during the modules of astronomical geography or geophysics.

I work together with Geography and Chemistry teachers on a small school project. Pupils do they research and experiments on Geography and Chemistry. We watch documumentary film about Earth and other planets of the solar system. After disscussion about benefit of living on earth from other planets, pupils write newspaper reports.

At the lessons on the topic we read articles and watch videos about the space and our planet in the solar system. As the kids study the Earth in Geography and Physics and other subjects it is easy for them to investigate some questions and express ideas. In younger classes they sing songs and learn poems about planets to memorise the vocabulary. They make presentations about the planets, on water cycle and so on. We also took part in an Etwinning project "Zero waste" and did a lot of activities on solving enviromental problems. The tools introduced in the didactic course are very useful.

I can use the didactic course related with the Atmosphere, to teach about the Inner structure of the Earth. I can sort the students in groups and ask them to search for information, about how the Presion, Temperature and fluidity of the materials change ,as we go down deeper into the Earth. And then, ask them to hypothesized what would happend in a different planet, with a different density and a different diameter.
With regards to the first didactic course, i use to do a similar aproach , when teaching adaptations and Natural Selection. I describe different envirnments to the students, and they have to use their imagination to "design", the perfect predator or the perfect prey to live in this special place. Sometimes I do the opposite I describe an imaginary animal or plant with some special adaptations and they have to explain what is the ideal ecosystem for it.

When we talk about Solar System, I think it may be interesting to start with a space journey. I would divide the children into combined teams of astronauts and scientists. Each team would have to study a planet, and I would include the tasks presented in the activity. i find students can easily understand the layers of the earth and the atmosphere as a 2d diagram, but the often find it hard to understand them as 3d, an even harder to think that the magma, water, and air all flow , whilst the earth is spinning, and orbiting. the names of the layers and where they are are important, and then keep it simple for the dynamics of them all

I would use Didactic Course Planet Earth - the Earth's Atmosphere for my ecology lesson about the greenhouse effect. I would go through the orientation part of the course, to familiarize my students with English vocabulary in connection with atmosphere and to revise the things I expect they already know, since they are secondary school (11th year). After that I would divide them into groups and each group would be given a question to research in connection with greenhouse effect. Each group would prepare a padlet to present their findings to the rest of the class.

As I'm running a little late in fulfilling these tasks, the guidelines presented in this course material will be of great help, to prepare for the next classes which will be online. As our project is about NBS it is possible to use a methodology similar to the one comparing the two planets terraforming investigation
In this case we chose some plants and made a school garden
After identifying all plants students analise how they adapt to the climate conditions. They take care of the garden and do periodical mesures of plants Growth. After 3 month and at least 4 measurements student’s decide what plants are more adapted
This experiment also could compare the same plants in a nearby place with different conditions of sun, water and wind. Students would be asked to predict what place would be better according to the earth rotation and climate seasons
