1. Direct Instruction- Skills oriented, fact to face, small group, carefully oriented instruction.

2. Learning Strategy Instruction- Teaching students the best ways to go about learning and recalling the required information. It teaches students ways to go about organizing how they plan to complete the task at hand.

3. Multi-sensory Approach- As the name implies, Multi-Sensory instruction is teaching use more than one of the learner's senses at a time. This style of education gives students more than one way to make connections. This style is not only limited to sight and hearing but can also implement senses like taste and smell.

4. Scaffolding- Scaffolding is another technique which begins with the educator giving direct instruction, and then as the student progresses, slowly moving away and letting the students use peer mediated instruction.

5. Be aware of simple solutions. There is no one hundred percent method for dealing with learning disabilities. The methods must be individualized to the learner. Continue trying new methods until one works.
