First day of school (ever)

In the year 2014, I began school for the first time. At the time I did not know a lick of English (Spanish is my first language) so I struggled a lot with fitting in and I became a quiet student. I also got bullied a lot for it and it has affected the person I am today. (Elementary)

I peed my pants in class...

Around 2016, I peed my pants in class. It was sooo embarrassing and I lied saying that I did not pee my pants. The reason why I did it was because I was too shy to ask to go to the bathroom. I literally never tell anyone this because it's so embarrassing that the reason why I peed my pants was because I was TOO SHY to ask (never again). (Elementary)

Cousin leaves to Colombia :(

During 2018, my uncle got deported and sent back to Colombia where he stayed for about 2 years. In 2019, my cousin and her family decided to move to Colombia where her dad was because they were dealing with a lot of heavy emotions and financial situations. It was a dark time for my aunt, as she had to work and take care of her two kids while also trying to find a solution to bring my uncle back. When they left I was filled with sorrow because me and my cousin were very close at the time and I thought I wasn't going to see her for a long time. Thank God they came back a month or two later and my uncle came back a year later. (Elementary)

Broke my wrist

Somewhere in 2017, I was jumping around my living room couch and ended up in the hospital. I broke my wrist on my aunt's birthday while making a gift for her, I don't remember the moment in which it happened but I remember jumping around and somehow I ended up in the hospital. (Elementary)

My beloved bird died :/

In 2021, my bird, Camilo, got sick and it affected his foot. We took him to a vet and he came back looking like this. I genuinely think that the vet did something to him because his eye looked beat up and he looked like he was in distress. He later died in February and we buried him in our backyard. Although we did not have him for a long time, he was a very sweet bird and singed a lot. Currently I have a bird that I have had for about 6 years who I love very dearly but Camilo's death will forever stay in my heart. (Middle)

Went to Disney with family

In 2022, me and my family went to Disney World in which I got closer with my cousins because we had to share a room. It was a cool experience and I wish I could relive it but I hated the part where we had to wake up around 5-6 am in the morning. Even though now I wake up at 5 in the morning everyday so I'm used to it but still. I also loved the arcade that they have in the hotels, I used to go there everyday with my cousins after coming back from Disney. (Middle)

Went to my 8th grade social

On April 26th, 2024, I went to my middle school's 8th grade social. The social was just like a prom except for middle schoolers, honestly at the time it was really fun but looking back I cringe. Not much to say because it felt like a fever dream but I went to Mc'Donalds with my friends afterwards so that's what matters. (Middle)

Graduated middle school

On June 6th, 2024, I graduated middle school. It was so sad because there were a lot of my friends who were going to Independence and I was sad that I wasn't gonna see them. I still wonder what it would've been like if we weren't split up but I cried a lot after we graduated. It was a bittersweet moment and at the time I didn't want to leave but now I'm kind of glad I'm not there anymore. (High?)

Beach trip with the fam

On August 29th, 2024, I went to the beach with my family. While we were there one of my cousins who lives in Miami, decided to come for 2 days and we got to see her pregnant. It felt surreal that she was pregnant because I had grown up with her so seeing that she was pregnant was a shock. Other than that the beach was very fun and I enjoyed it. (High)

Danced at my friends's quince

On April 12th, 2025, I participated as part of my friend's quince court. I had to dance with a boy but that was okay because he's my friend so it was somewhat easier. I loved the choreography because there were different genres of Latin music. I also just love dancing and especially to music of my roots. I had so much fun that night and made me closer with the girls in the picture. (High)

Family from Colombia came back and we went on a beach trip with them

On July 29th, 2025, my family that got deported in 2008 came back for good and we planned a beach trip. This picture was taken August 16th of this year. My cousin on the left is my cousin who came back from Colombia and he doesn't really know a lot of English but me and him are getting closer and closer everyday. My cousin on the right is my cousin who left for Colombia back in 2019. On the night of this picture we played a bunch of games and talked until 3 am, it was an experience I'll never forget. (High)
