         <description><![CDATA[<p>Mara is a young girl in a wheelchair who loves to dance, however, she struggles to fit in with her peers. After watching a television show, Mara finds confidence and acceptance within herself and signs up for the talent show. Her classmates make fun of her, but that doesn't stop Mara from believing in herself and performing (thanks to her mother)! </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<ol><li><p>Do you ever feel like you need to do something just because someone else says so even if it's something you don't want to do? </p></li><li><p>The voice the author is talking about is YOUR voice inside of you -- do what YOUR voice is telling you! </p></li><li><p>The page with the boy rock climbing -- show the kids how he has a prosthetic leg, but can still rock climb like everyone else, even though it's harder for him. </p></li><li><p>"I can ask for help" -- mention that it's ALWAYS okay to ask for help. </p></li><li><p>"I can speak up when it's easier to be quiet" -- when something happens at school, talk to an adult. </p></li><li><p>Hard things for you, may not be hard for someone else and that's okay! How do you think Mara feels with all these people not believing in her dancing in the talent show even though that's something she wants to do? </p></li><li><p>What does Mara's mom say to her? If dancing makes Mara feel special she should do it right? </p></li><li><p>Picture with Mara in the wheelchair: Show how the illustrator showed Mara NOT in a wheelchair before this moment because the author wants us to believe Mara can do anything before making assumptions about her. </p></li><li><p>What are the kids doing? Answer: helping Mara get up the stairs. If someone needs help, would you help them? </p></li><li><p>Mara's dance moves: Look how she's dancing! Even though it's different than how we would normally dance, this is how she does it and she feels so special! </p></li><li><p>People cheering for Mara: How do you think Mara feels in this moment? </p></li><li><p>Mara didn't win the talent show, but does that matter?
