Hi. I like excerpt #3. I like how they mention that Native American history is lost in US history. Cowboys and Indians is one of my favorite subjects and unless you live in the west you really don’t talk about it.

Agree, if teachers do not build a healthy relationship with their students then it causes the students to feel nervous to speak their mind. It should be an open space, but also controlled to a certain point.

I agree that we should value other students diverse perspectives on topics. Responses should be well organized. Other excerpts make great points, I feel more times should be spent on issues of racism in our history. However, developing the skills of discussion are very important, as it gives students to think critically on these major issues.
