This map uses locations, paths, and symbols to symbolize my journey as a writer and composer throughout the semester. My hometown of Yonkers serves as the starting point for the map, symbolizing both my beginnings and the difficulties of managing family obligations and school. The road crosses into Slacker's Slope, which represents difficulties with attendance, grades, and maintaining physical and mental well-being. The narrow path illustrates how progress was difficult and necessitated catching up and adjusting. SJU and New Rochelle represent transitions into unfamiliar surroundings, friendships, and expectations that influenced my development as a writer. Symbols indicate stressful, uncertain, and grade-dropping moments along the way, highlighting setbacks that undermined my confidence. At Mental Health Mountain, the "You Are Here" marker represents where I am currently—still climbing, but more resilient and self-aware. The Future Plans section is still vague, highlighting the fact that my journey is still ongoing and evolving.
