Dancing....The Key to Youthfulness

I love to dance!!!!!!! It keeps you young. No, I can't dance like Beyonce. I love to line dance and swing out dance. I taught line dance and I also assisted my husband with teaching swingout dancing. We no longer teach dance due to declining health, but we still go out to dance occasionally and I am still active in line dance classes and an active member of a line dance group.

I have been living and thriving with lupus for many years. I was diagnosed in 2006. I have a saying that I tell myself every day, I HAVE LUPUS, BUT IT DON'T HAVE ME.....AND IT NEVER WILL. I enjoy life and I live every day as if it's my last.

I have 6 children (3 blood and 3 bonus)

Together, my husband and I have 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. We also have 2 grandchildren who are now angels. Deuce lived only 3 days, he would've been 8 years old this year and Alexcia died of a Fentanyl overdose 2 years ago, she would've been 25 years old this year. Family means everything to me. I love spending time with my family and making memories.

Faith Over Fear

God has brought me through so many things. I have been at death's door 3 times, but God said not today, Satan. The most recent was in 2020 when I contracted Covid. I got COVID when it was still new. They did not know how to treat it, and a vaccine hadn't been developed yet. I was on the ventilator for a week. But by God's Grace and His amazing healing powers, I came through it. A month and a half later I had to go to Louisiana to sign my mom on hospice. She died 3 days later, the day before Mother's Day. But Thank God, I made it!!!!
