I decided to do my hero by the foo fighters for my solo as it displays my vocal range and ability well as in the verse it is sung at mid range but in the chorus shifts to a higher pitch. The guitar part I play is simple however requires a good sense of rhythm to stay in time this song showcases my ability as I have to play and sing at the same time. I chose jack to play drums as this song is challenging on the drums and requires a rock style drummer who is very capable. I chose Nathan to play bass as the song needs a player with a good sense of Rhythm as it it isn't very  Technically challenging but needs a strong rhythm section. I chose will to play lead guitar as he plays alot of music in that particular style so his style suits the song, overall the song went well as there were few mistakes and we played with good rhythm and flow.

For my ensemble I played rhythm guitar for dan as we covered up by olly murs my part consisted of simple chords but requires use of dynamics and a good sense of rhythm.

Also for my ensemble we began to work on Stan by Eminem for connors solo where I also play quite a simple rhythm part which is just chords but does require use of dynamic range and a strong sense of rhythm as it is a rap song.

I am doing this scale exercise in order to Improve my finger Speed which is useful for playing more complex movements which will also make my compositions more interesting. By doing the exercise I will become more comfortable in my finger placing which will make more difficult sequences easier to play. i play to a metronome and every week i increase the speed by 5 bpm in order to increase the difficulty and the speed i can play it at.

This week I continued to work on up for dans solo which we recorded this week I feel my performance went well as I played the rhythm guitar part with a good sense of dynamics and kept in   time with the rest of the accompaniment. Also this week I continued to work on connors solo (STAN) which went well and I feel that we will be able to perform and record it by next week.

This week I worked on Melissa's solo which was a mac de Marco song. i played rhythm guitar on this song. It was a reasonably simple chord structure but did require me to play with a good sense of dynamics as the song requires a more delicate strumming pattern and more focus on the top three strings.
This week I also continued to work on connors ensembles Stan and Clint Eastwood which aren't especially difficult but do require a good sense of rhythm which is essential in rap. This week I began working no cant stop for Nathan's ensemble, in this song I perform the lead vocal which is very challenging as it requires me to sing quickly and high in my range which is exhausting to maintain for long periods of time as I need to sing for most of the duration of the song. I feel I do this quite well despite having to take pauses in the song and momenterally slipping out of key but I feel with more practice I could perform the songs with less errors.
 Also this week we began to work jacks ensemble which is an original song in which I also sing lead vocal however we have only touched on it so far. As well as this i began singing for will's solo (take me out) this week in which i have to perform a reasonably challenging lead vocal part for the song. it went quite well and i think we will be able to record it next week.]]> 2018-02-05 14:08:32 UTC https://padlet.com/lukeeaton4/8w9ajn91ii9k/wish/228108858 lukeeaton4 https://padlet.com/lukeeaton4/8w9ajn91ii9k/wish/231403420 This week i began to work on my solo original, 'I need', for this i required Nathan to play bass for me as his style suits a more relaxed song and he is very capable of playing a reasonably complex bass line that the song requires. the song is very laid back so i didn't feel it needed a full band accompaniment however i did think it needed a bass line to support the guitars chord pattern. In the song i play a relatively simple chord progression that i strum with my fingers and just add and remove notes of the chords to make the progression more interesting and add to the melody of the song. as well as this i also sing whilst playing the guitar and though my  vocals aren't very testing i do need to execute them softly with the right emotion to complement the rest of the song appropriately. We began to practice the song and it went quite well i feel we will be able to record it next session if all goes to plan.

I need (solo)

This week I continued to rehearse my ensembles for take me out and acquiesce before performing them. In both I sang the lead vocal and felt that both performances went well. Take me out requires a much more challenging vocal performance than acquiesce however I feel I executed them both well without making any major mistakes.
Also this week I performed my solo I need however I decided to play this song on my own as I felt that the song was better with a stripped back accompaniment. This week I began to work on connors ensemble feel good inc for which I perform the lead vocal, the vocal is not too challenging but does require a good execution, I feel we need more rehearsal before we can rehearse this properly.
Also this week I began working on trumans ensemble, the boxer for this I perform the lead vocal which is reasonably challenging as I need to sing reasonably challenging notes but delicately. The boxer (ensemble)

This week we continued to work on the stars keep on calling which I feel we will be able to record by next week as it went well. Also this week I recorded the boxer with Truman and I feel this went very well as I hit all the notes and performed with the song delicately Truman made now noticeable mistakes which lead to a good overal performance.
