Estos valores son los que sostienen la democracia y la equidad social, por lo que la educación pública debe ser defendida como un derecho universal.

La práctica docente, entendida como un acto pedagógico de cada día, se convierte entonces en un acto político. Cada clase que un docente imparte es una oportunidad para luchar contra las desigualdades y fortalecer la idea de que la educación es un bien común, que no debe estar al servicio del mercado ni de intereses privados, sino que debe ser un derecho garantizado por el Estado.
