Description of his life

Philip was born in Bethsaida , Galilee. He was only mentioned in John in the New Testament, so we don't much about him. But we do know he was called to Jesus and brought his companion , Nathaniel to see Jesus Christ. Philip was actually present during one of Jesus' miracles , the loafs and fish. This is why besides the pillar one of his symbols are loafs and fish . Toward the end of his life he preached in Greece and sadly he ended up being Crucified on a pillar there and died for his faith.
