What would happen if the patterns in selecting benchmark fractions and creating area models and number lines were changed when we are comparing fractions? What information can you gather to support your ideas about the patterns in comparing fractions?

As the numerator decreases the value of the fraction decreases because the numerator is the whole value of the fraction, for example:9/10>8/10>7/10>6/10>5/10>4/10>3/10>2/10>1/10.As the denominator increases it changes the value of a unit of the fraction because the denominator is how big each unit is so it decreases increasing if the numerator stays the same
