Region:elephants prefer diverse habitats ranging from grasslands to semi-desert areas and aremainly found in inBotswana, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Tanzania, Zambia, South Africa, Angola, Namibia, Rwanda, Mozambique, and Ethiopia.
Habit

They need a lot of energy to sustain themselves.
They generally cover long distances per day. Moving 15-30 km with such a heavy body needs sufficient food for their survival.
In dry regions, natural water is scarce. Elephants living there drink a lot of water to keep them hydrated and to store enough water in their body for their next trip.

Fun facts:The African elephant can grow as large as 13 feet (4 meters) tall, weigh between 4,000-7,500 kg and can have tusks as long as 6.5 feet (2 meters) in lengthweighing 100 pounds each (45 kg). 2. Elephants have the largest brain in allof the animal kingdom, and are smart too.

What impressed me most is that both male and female African elephants grow tusks and each individual can either be left- or right-tusked, and the one they use more is usually smaller because of wear and tear.
