It is based on voluntary participation from learners, uses an interactive and participative methodology, mostly develops competencies (attitudes, skills, knowledge) and makes use of the learner's previous experience and competencies. Learners are not graded by the educators; in fact, the learners are evaluating their learning process and to what extent they have developed the competencies planned in the learning goals. This type of education program is offered by different NGOs, youth centres, foundations, etc. It is a group learning process and not an individual one.
