Participatory is the music you scream your to until your voice foes away. It reminds me of concerts where you can jump and dance to. Another great example is karaoke which explains the picture is use. This is because the singer connects to the artist singing and with the crowd that surrounds them. The definition of participatory for me is being at a concert with the artist interacting with the crowd by shaking hands, taking pictures or if you get lucky crowd suffering. When I went to the Russ concert I interacted with the artist and really enjoyed it. It made me feel alive and like I was apart in the stage and there was no boundary between me and the stage.

Presentational

Presentational is the music go relax yourself to or go to feel the music. An example for me is a orchestra playing a beautiful music like in the picture shown below. The artist do not interact with the people and are more serious on what they do. When I was in choir we really did not interact with the audience we kept it very serious and it felt like the stage was one and the audience was another unlike participatory.

I uploaded a video when I went to Russ concert this past summer. This to me is what participatory music is because of all of us singing along and connecting with the artist.

I picked this classic classical music from Beauty and The Beast because it is my all time favorite and because this reminds me of presentational music. This is presentational to me because you do not chime but instead you soak in all the instruments and relax to it.
