<title>Geo World. App that teaches you about geography, focusing on dynamic activities revolving around maps. This is a very simple tool that allows users to learn about basic political geography, from world capitals to frontiers and country borders, to regional divisions, this application is aimed at either very casual users or very young ones. As such, it would be preferable to apply it to earlier levels of secondary education. In particular, the subject of human geography must deal with the territorial organization of the world, as well as the ability to read, interpret and create political maps. As such, it could be a very beneficial tool, specially taking into account how simple the app needs and how convenient for the task at hand. Learning which country is which can be a difficult task for the younger and less focused students, so by making activities around the Geo World app they can train their spatial memory, as well as learning elements of geo-political importance, like world capitals, regional organizations or national borders. To achieve that, Geo World offers the classic task of filling a blank map with the names of the countries and cities shown there, and because it’s a very active assignment, it won’t feel as tedious and monotonous for the students as just memorizing them through repeated lecture.</title>

<title>Greek Mythology. A school project prepared to teach kids Greek Mythology, from its gods to its symbolism and iconography, and all of the customs around them. One of the most important criteria for the evaluation of the student’s performance in History is their ability to know and understand the cultures of the past, and for that, their religions, cults, customs, myths and symbols must be clearly understood. Because Classic Greece is mostly taught during the earlier stages of secondary education (1st and 2nd ESO), it is also very important to try and make this knowledge as palatable as possible, so that the students don’t become overwhelmed and abandon interest. This Greek Mythology unit has been prepared for older students but the basis of it are solid enough that can be applied to younger kids if the content and the form are adapted to their level. The proposed tasks, like analysing some of the most famous Greek plays (through adapted or abridged versions available on the Internet) can be used to comment on the character archetypes and values defended at the time, as well as to get them interested in classic literature. There’s also a fair amount of bibliography, both for the teachers and for the students to deepen their knowledge of the subject matter.</title>

<title>Internet y sus recursos para enseñar Geografía. By Antonio Moreno Jimenez, is an article published on the magazine Didáctica Geográfica in 1996. In this work, the author presents his vision on how we teachers can use the modern technologies to complement and improve our Geography lessons. In particular, this article centres around showing the basics of the internet to those teachers who might not be that savvy with the new technologies, and also point them towards interesting links and web resources that could be useful on their endeavour. Many of these sites contain information that could compliment and expand any level of school education, and also serve as a possible activity if we want to make our students practise and learn about ICT.</title>
