         <description><![CDATA[<div>This is one of Sofia's biggest challenges and her IEP goal. Sofia struggles with the ability to read with speed, accuracy, and proper expression. She also struggles with sentence fluency in her writing. This often results in simple or repetitive sentences and little variety in her sentence structure. Sofia also struggles with&nbsp;correct grammar and has frequent spelling errors.</div>]]></description>

Sofia demonstrates the following characteristics: does not pay attention close to details, can't stay focused on play or schoolwork, gets distracted easily, has difficulty with planning and organizing and is unaware of the time or if she is off-task.</div>]]></description>

Characteristics like "her brain freezing", not paying attention to details, inability to stay on task and organization skills play a significant role on her decline in grades. Sofia is currently described as being well below grade level in math, spelling and language arts.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After learning about Sofia and her strengths, I compared them to my own. The two that sticks out for both of us is being helpful and sociable. In my personal history powerpoint, I stated my strengths were "I am caring and compassionate about others and the world" and "I always try my best to collaborate with others". I think both strengths can go hand-in hand with each other. Though her strengths are shown in a school setting and mine in a professional school setting, we both display the same strengths of being a helpful, friendly person!</div>]]></description>
