Some Archaeological Findings in Inamgaon
They found 134 Mud houses and most of them are in rectangular shape with one or two rooms.
And they also found houses which has five rooms and it is considered to be the house of The Chief. Most of the houses have oval shaped pits. These pit have been used for cooking food. It also suggests that people cook food outside.
Storage bins and Storage pits are also found. They also found ancient human tooth.

About the society
There were two assemblies- The Sabha and The samiti.
What are Sabha and Samiti?
Sabha- It was an assembly of the elders and important people.
Samiti- It was a general assembly gathering of members of every family of the Jana.

Occupations 
The main occupation of the people were agriculture,  cattle- rearing and some other common occupation were chariot making, metal work pottery weaving and jewellery making.

Life of the people
The people gain knowledge from rigveda. Rigveda is the oldest veda.
Wars were also fought for territory, people and water .
some portion of wealth was used for the performence of yajanas or sacrificies in which preists made offerings into the fire. Offering could include grains, ghee and in some cases animals.

The Vedic Age of Ancient India is the “heroic age” of ancient Indian civilization. It is also the formative period when the basic foundations of Indian civilization were laid down. These include the emergence of early Hinduism as the foundational religion of India, and the social/religious phenomenon known as caste.
The Vedas consist of four parts, none of which have any scientific knowledge. ... Rig, Yajur, and Sama Vedas. Later, however, it was also accepted as Veda. The Rigveda consists of about 1,028 richas or hymns in praise of various Vedic gods—Indra, Agni, Soma and Surya among others.
The word Veda means the sacred spiritual knowledge. These Vedas were considered infallible as they imparted the highest spiritual knowledge. Initially, the Vedas were transmitted orally. Since our knowledge of the early Aryans is based on these Vedas, the culture of this period is referred to as the Vedic Culture.
Why is it called Vedic Period? :
The Indo-Aryans continued to settle the Ganges Plain, bringing their distinct religious beliefs and practices. The Vedic Period (c. 1750-500 BCE) is named for the Vedas, the oldest scriptures in Hinduism, which were composed during this period.
According to tradition, Vyasa is the compiler of the Vedas, who arranged the four kinds of mantras into four Samhitas (Collections).
