It all happened in a small village in Lampung, the place that give me a traumathize about how I became a rise paddy mermaid. One sunny morning, I decided to follow a group of elderly women, including my grandmother, who were heading to the rice fields. The women, with their wide-brimmed hats and cheerful chatter, moved gracefully along the narrow paths that wound between the paddy fields.
As I walked behind them, the earthy scent of wet soil and the shimmering reflections of the sky in the shallow water mesmerized me. My grandmother warned me to tread carefully, but I was too distracted by the beauty around me to fully listen. In my excitement, I ventured a little too close to the edge of one of the narrow embankments separating the paddies.

Before I knew it, my foot slipped on the muddy path. Everything happened so quickly—I lost my balance, my arms flailing as I tried to grab hold of something, but there was nothing to stop my fall. I plunged into the cool, murky water of the rice paddy. Panic surged through me as I struggled to find my footing, but the water was deeper than I had imagined, and the slippery mud made it impossible to stand.
I screamed, but my voice was muffled by the water and the surrounding fields. Thankfully, the group of elderly women heard my cries. Without a moment’s hesitation, they rushed toward me, their concerned voices cutting through my fear. One of them, a wiry yet strong woman with years of experience working in the fields, waded into the water without hesitation.
Her hands were firm but gentle as she pulled me up and guided me to the safety of the embankment. My grandmother, her face pale with worry, wrapped her arms around me as soon as I was out of the water.

The women checked to make sure I was unharmed, laughing gently to lighten the mood as they teased me about my adventurous spirit.
Though I was soaked, embarrassed, and a little shaken, I felt an overwhelming sense of gratitude. The warmth and kindness of these women, who had sprung into action without hesitation, left a deep impression on me. That day taught me not only to be more cautious but also to appreciate the bond of community and the quiet heroism of those around us.
Even now, whenever I see a rice field or hear the stories of farmers, I remember that day. What could have been a tragedy turned into a lesson and a cherished memory, all thanks to the quick actions and big hearts of those elderly women.

In June 2006, Bagus Dwi and his crews were filming a beautiful and unique Papuan culture,Agats people, for Jejak Petualang airing on Trans 7. They should spend 50 days for the filming process but he got lost.

Surprisingly, they experienced a terrifying event on their 40th day caused by the bad weather. On that day, they had to move to another district to take some pictures using a long boat. Bagus and 4 other crews went to Timika accompanied by three local people from Agats. Unfortunately, in the middle of their journey, their boats were attacked by huge wave.

The other crews jumped to the sea except Bagus, staying on the boat, while his friends were adrift above the sea until they were stranded at an uninhabited island. They assumed that Bagus survived that he would come to save them. Until one day, the rescued team saved them but unexpectedly they could not find Bagus. Since then, they have tried everything to look for Bagus's existence; however, there was no good progress and they cannot find him until today.

The survived crews still remember Bagus Dwi to the present day that they air his story on the the day he was missing through their social media and national television news. With these acts, they hope that Dwi or whoever saved his life can contact them.

It was 7 am when I went to work. I get a ride on a motorcycle in toll with my friend. My friends rode at high speed. We use the right lane, and my friend overtook the car in front. Suddenly, there was a car coming from the opposite direction. We try to avoid the car, but unfortunately we hit the car, and both of us bounce into the middle of the road. I fainted but could still hear the voice around. Strangers brought me to hospital. When I awoke, the doctor had checked me and told me that there was no serious problem. I just got sore on my foot little finger. Until now, I feel traumatic when I am riding motorcycle.

Bitten By Mysterious Bees

When I was cleaning up the roof, suddenly a bee came up and bit my leg. As soon as I got bitten, I went down and put some oil on my skin. Then the rushes appeared all over my body except the head and my heartbeat was very fast. I tried to put some ice to reduce the itchiness, and I could not hold it anymore, so I decided to ride my motorbike, rushing to the drugstore. On the way, suddenly I could not see anything. All things turned black, but I was still conscious, so I stopped my motorbike and prayed. Suddenly the light came into my eyes, and I could see clearly. I rushed up to the drugstore to buy the allergy medicine. I consumed it three times a day after meals. Then, the rushes disappeared gradually. It took two weeks to heal perfectly. Finally, I was getting better, and feel relieved. However, whenever I see the bees, I am more aware about them.
