The ideas that struck me the most were the topics about safe spaces on campus. It was my first time hearing topics such as sexual misconduct and SOGIE discrimination being discussed and tackled so straightforwardly in an academic setting. I appreciated the emphasis on ensuring students’ safety, protection and inclusion.

I think the program’s activities allowed me to grow a bit closer to my blockmates in the sense that through learning more about them during discussion sessions, I was able to relate and see their points of view more.

I would describe it as reassuring. I appreciate that we had a subject dedicated to showing us the customs, culture and values of Ateneo during our first year as to help us feel more adapted, immersed and comfortable in our community.

The most memorable module to me would be Module 1 where we discussed graduates of AB IS and possible careers we could take up as graduates from this course. As someone who is still a little uncertain with my future career, it was an informative guide to help me decide if this is the right course for me or not, and if I stayed, what tracks I could choose.

I believe it brought a select number of people closer, but personally it only helped me understand others a little better; most of the activities gave me a better understanding of some of my blockmates, but otherwise my relationships with them stayed the same.
