In order to do this, they have to engage their audience. Political parties hold rallies, protests, and fundraise in order to gain an audience. They post on social media and help their candidates appear relatable to the public. I was searching online for scholarships recently and came across one sponsored by the NRA. The NRA is an interest group, and interest groups like them give away scholarships, post online, call citizens telling them about rallies and gatherings, and try to appeal to as many people as possible, trying to get them invested into their cause. Political parties and interest groups accept donations, which helps them make money and helps the person donating that they’re funding something they care about.
